STASH CLOUD
Converged Compute & Storage RGB Lightning Network Cloud Node Infrastructure Built on Kubernetes
Node Management
One-click deployment of dedicated RLN nodes. Zero ops to join the LSP liquidity network. Full lifecycle management supporting millions of nodes online.
Decentralized Backup Storage
Decentralized async backup via Arweave + IPFS. RGB validation data encrypted, permanently available and tamper-proof.
Per-Node Isolation
Dedicated namespace and cloud disk per node, inter-node network default-deny. A single compromised node does not spread laterally.
Standard SDK / API
Multi-language SDKs and standardized APIs will be provided in the future for third-party developers to quickly integrate cloud node capabilities.
Three-Layer Architecture:
Goal
Built on Kubernetes, providing RGB Lightning Network infrastructure where every user gets their own dedicated RLN node â no ops knowledge required, no self-hosted servers needed. One-click registration to join the LSP liquidity network.
The client-side validation model of the RGB protocol means asset states are maintained and verified locally on each user's own node. Therefore, large-scale reliable cloud node infrastructure is a prerequisite for RGB ecosystem to move from concept to production.
⥠Node Compute Engine
Cloud-native RLN cloud nodes based on Kubernetes StatefulSet, supporting fully automated lifecycle management (create, start, hibernate, recover, elastic scaling). Multi-cluster architecture supports millions of nodes online simultaneously.
đž Async Backup & Recovery
Independent persistent storage per node (Enterprise SSD, Retain policy, online expansion), file change monitoring with async backup, daily snapshots, multi-layer redundancy ensuring node data is never lost.
đ Security & Access
per-node network and storage isolation, multi-layer access control and ECDSA signature verification, plus standard SDK and API access.
Why Stash Cloud is needed:
- RGB Lightning Network nodes must remain online to maintain channel states and participate in atomic swaps. The technical barrier to self-hosting and maintaining nodes is extremely high, hindering the scaling of the LSP network. Stash Cloud encapsulates this complexity into a one-click service.
- LSP (Lightning Service Provider) is the liquidity provider in the RGB ecosystem. Each LSP requires an independent RLN node. Stash Cloud enables anyone to become an LSP with zero barriers, injecting liquidity into the entire ecosystem.
Security & Reliability
Stash Cloud employs a trust-minimized security architecture: strong network and storage isolation between nodes, ECDSA signature verification across all management requests, and no node credentials persisted by the platform's routing layer.
Transport & Signing
the key-custody path is encrypted with ECIES (secp256k1 ECDH + AES-256-GCM), using an ephemeral key pair per request; every management request is verified by ECDSA signature against tampering and forgery.
Data Isolation
Each node has independent persistent storage. Inter-node networks are completely isolated and invisible to each other.
Multi-Layer Disaster Recovery
Enterprise SSD local persistence + Arweave permanent storage + IPFS high-availability distribution + async file change backup + daily snapshots. Multi-layer redundancy covering the vast majority of failure scenarios.
Network Isolation
Each node runs in an independent namespace. Inter-node networks are completely isolated and invisible to each other.
Core Capabilities
Node Compute Engine
A large-scale node orchestration system built on Kubernetes, providing production-grade compute infrastructure for the RGB Lightning Network:
Fully Automated Lifecycle Management
Node creation, startup, hibernation, and recovery are fully automated â users need zero ops knowledge. Nodes are automatically provisioned on login and hibernate to release resources on logout.
Elastic Scaling
Nodes wake and hibernate on demand â zero resource consumption during hibernation with data fully preserved. Second-level recovery to running state on wake-up, with channel balances and RGB asset states intact.
Millions Online
Multi-cluster architecture designed to support millions of RLN nodes running simultaneously, meeting large-scale demands for high-frequency trading, payments, and DeFi.
Standard SDK and API Access
Multi-language SDKs and standardized APIs will be provided in the future, enabling third-party developers to quickly integrate cloud node capabilities.

Differentiated Lifecycle Policies
Hub nodes run 24/7, LSP nodes maintain long-term availability, regular user nodes are scheduled on-demand â different roles run without interference.
Async Backup Storage Layer
Stash Cloud also provides asynchronous backup for RGB protocol validation data and verifiable trade proof storage â enabling discoverable, recoverable records:
RGB Stash Validation Data Backup
RGB's client-side validation model requires Stash (validation datasets) to be stored securely. Stash Cloud encrypts each node's Stash data and asynchronously backs it up to decentralized storage (Arweave / IPFS), ensuring data is tamper-resistant and permanently available.
External Market Trade Proof Publishing
Desensitized proof data for each external-market trade is published to the Stash Cloud storage layer in real time â including token contract ID, trade direction, filled amount, timestamp, and Bitcoin anchor Txid or Lightning pid.
Verifiable Audit
Any third party can pull trade proof records for a token from Stash Cloud for independent verification and audit â without trusting platform statements alone.
Multi-Layer Redundant Backup
Hot data resides on node-local Enterprise SSD; cold data is asynchronously backed up to Arweave (permanent storage) and IPFS (high-availability distribution). Three layers ensure RGB validation data is recoverable under any scenario.
Future: Open Ecosystem
Our long-term goal is to build Stash Cloud into an open RGB Lightning Network cloud node infrastructure platform, enabling more ecosystem participants to build innovative applications on standard SDKs and APIs, working together with ecosystem partners to jointly drive large-scale adoption of the RGB protocol.
